Privacy – Processing of personal data

The Company, whose contact details are given on the ‘contact’ page of the website, and the User who provides it with personal data, undertake to comply with the regulations in force applicable to the processing of personal data and, in particular, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27/04/2016 (GDPR).

The Company collects and processes the identity and contact details it receives from the User, in particular via the contact form on the website, and from any other relevant contact person. The purposes of this processing are to answer the User’s questions, to perform an agreement, to manage customers and their orders, accounting, and direct marketing activities such as sending promotional or commercial information. The legal bases are the performance of a contract, the User’s consent, compliance with legal and regulatory obligations and/or the legitimate interest of the Company.

The aforementioned personal data will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation and, unless the User consents otherwise, will only be disclosed to processors, recipients and/or third parties insofar as this is necessary for the purposes of the processing set out above.

The User is responsible for the accuracy and keeping up to date of the personal data they provide to the Company, and undertakes to comply strictly with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation with regard to the individuals whose personal data they have provided, as well as with regard to any personal data they may receive from their own customers.

Personal data are stored and processed for as long as necessary given the purposes of the processing and the nature of the relationship (contractual or otherwise). In any event, Users’ data will be removed from our systems no later than 31 December of the seventh year following their collection, except for personal data that we are required to keep for longer under specific legislation or in the event of ongoing litigation for which the personal data are needed.

By giving their consent when entering or providing their personal data, the User agrees, in addition to the processing described above, to the collection and use of their personal data as set out below.

The Company collects personally identifiable information (name, address, telephone number, email address, VAT number, total number of visits to the website, number of visitors to each page of the website, domain names of visitors’ internet service providers, IP addresses, cookies).

The User agrees that their data may be used for advertising, commercial or marketing purposes and consents to receiving information from the Company by email (newsletter, etc.) or by post.

Right of access: the User has the right to ask at any time whether their data have been collected, for how long and for what purpose.

Right to rectification: the User has the right to request at any time, on simple request, that inaccurate or incomplete data be corrected or completed.

Right to restriction of processing: the User may request that the processing of their data be restricted. This means that the data concerned must be ‘flagged’ in our IT system and may no longer be used for a certain period of time.

Right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’): Subject to the exceptions provided for by law, the User has the right to request that their data be erased.

Right to data portability: The User may request that their data be transmitted to them in a ‘structured, commonly used and machine-readable format’.

Right to lodge a complaint: The User may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

The Company undertakes to implement technical and organisational measures ensuring an appropriate level of security to protect the confidentiality of the data. The Company will notify the customer of any personal data breach of which it becomes aware.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file saved by a website’s server in the browser of your computer or mobile device when you visit that website. The cookie contains a unique code that allows your browser to be recognised during your visit to the website (‘session cookie’) or on future repeat visits (‘persistent cookie’).

Cookies may be placed by the server of the website you are visiting or by partners with which that website works. A website’s server can only read the cookies it has placed itself; it has no access to any other information on your computer or mobile device.

Cookies are stored on your computer or mobile device in your browser’s directory.

A cookie generally contains the name of the server that placed it, an expiry date and a unique encrypted code. Cookies generally make interaction between the visitor and the website easier and faster.

Functional cookies are required to visit the Sites and to use certain parts of them.

For example, these cookies allow you to move between the different sections of the websites, fill in forms, place orders, view a multilingual website and update the contents of your shopping basket.

Similarly, when you want to access your personal account, for example in your administration area or another application made available to you (e.g. extranet, webmail, etc.), cookies are essential to verify your identity securely before granting access to your personal information.

If you refuse these cookies, some sections of the website will not work properly, or at all.

The Sites place a cookie on your computer for the purposes of statistical analysis and audience measurement, and to make access to the website easier.

This cookie records information about visitors’ browsing on the website.

It stores information you have entered during your visit, namely certain details about the visitor, such as the domain name and host computer from which the visitor is browsing the internet, the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer used, the date and time of the visitor’s browsing on the Sites and the URLs from which the visitor came to the website.
